Staff Expertise
Zone Safe Solutions was created in 2008 by Sheryl Leverington, P.E. to
provide manufacturers and end users with global compliance services.
Sheryl comes from an electronics design background with an emphasis
on energy limitation circuitry and documented several difficult-to-model and analyze circuits including
4-20 mA current drivers and non-linear fold-back current limiting
circuits. Sheryl also comes
from a strong instructional background having been an instructor for
various Universities and Community Colleges over the past 20 years.
Sheryl
was the lead approvals engineer, responsible for obtaining and
maintaining the hazardous area certificates for an entire product
line for four years, acting as the main liaison between the design
teams and the various agencies around the world. She is quite
familiar with intrinsic safety (ia, ib), energy limitation (nL and now ic), non-arcing (nA),
enclosed break (nC) and flameproof (d)
methods of protection.
Zone
Safe Solutions works directly with Sira Test & Certification to
assist with product assessments and coordination of services to
enhance completion.
